Weekend

Last Saturday we went to the Nebraska City "Apple Jack Festival" with our wonderful neighbors. Here is Kaitlin and Carmen at the Parade. There was lots of Candy thrown.
Here is a priceless picture of a Shriner Clown. Archie thought that was so funny.
And this is a Shriner Marching Band. Archie said he had never seen one before and it cracked him up. I hadn't either. There were lots of high school and middle school bands, politicians, old cars, etc. in the parade also. We missed the beginning, which apparently had fire trucks from all different years in them. We saw the fire truck parade in Nebraska City and couple of years ago. It was fun to see old time fire vehicles that were hand drawn and horse drawn as well as the early fire trucks.

Anyway, we had fun at the parade and then at our neighbors grandparents house in Nebraska City.

I love Nebraska City! Arbor Day Farm is really fun did you go there? The festival looks like fun! Has Archie never been to a parade!? The Shriners are in most of them aren't they? Too funny!

I don't think Shriners are huge in Eugene, Oregon, where he grew up.

I just love the music on your blog! Today I minimized your blog while I checked my email so I could keep listening to the music.

That's so funny because that's what I do and why I made the list I did, for my enjoyment while doing something on the computer. It makes me happy that you enjoy(ed) it too.

Surprise!

Surprise!
Kaitlin and Archie came home with this surprise from the grocery store. Kaitlin REALLY wanted to give them to me. She is very sweet and thoughtful like that (and so is Archie to take her with him and let her do this). Tulips remind me of Seattle a lot. Every spring about two hours north of Seattle, there is a tulip festival we liked to see.
