School has started already in Omaha. I am not excited about it starting so early. However, Kaitlin was ready. Carmen and she were beginning to get on each other's nerves. Kaitlin loves her teacher and is excited that she is now a "grader" (in first Grade) not just in kindergarten.
Carmen wants to go too. I had decided to keep her with me for awhile longer but maybe I need to reconsider....

Surprise!
Kaitlin and Archie came home with this surprise from the grocery store. Kaitlin REALLY wanted to give them to me. She is very sweet and thoughtful like that (and so is Archie to take her with him and let her do this). Tulips remind me of Seattle a lot. Every spring about two hours north of Seattle, there is a tulip festival we liked to see.

My kids did the same thing...they are so happy, busy, and focused on school now!
I am glad that Kaitlin was excited to start school. My kids were all ready to go back this year. I always remember starting after Labor day so it does seem early.
